Can French Bulldogs Eat Strawberries?

Yes absolutely strawberries are ok for your French Bulldog to eat.  My French Bulldog is particularly fond of them. Strawberries are high in fiber.  Strawberries also are rich in potassium, magnesium, folic acid, and they contain a variety of vitamins as well.  On top of that they contain essential omega-3 fatty acids which are a great contributor to healthy skin and fur.

How Often Can I Feed My French Bulldog Strawberries?

While strawberries are a healthy treat for your Frenchie it is not something you should feed to them every day. Too many strawberries can lead to an episode of doggy diarrhea which is no fun for anyone.

I wouldn’t recommend feeding your Frenchie more than a few strawberries at any time (you should cut off the green part of the strawberry of course).

How To Feed Your French Bulldog Strawberries

As mentioned above you should first cut the top off the strawberry before feeding them to your Frenchie.  With that said, here are some ways that you can feed your Frenchie strawberries.

  1. Cut up strawberries fed to your Frenchie as a quick treat
  2. Cut up strawberries and mash it into your Frenchie’s Kong toy.  We usually stuff the Kong, then stick it in the Freezer for a couple hours then let our Frenchie have at it.
  3. You can mash up some strawberries and mix into your Frenchie’s normal dog food.
